Irrespective of what you may have heard, there are natural ways to get rid of acne.
When it comes to our body, and our face in particular we all want to preserve what we were born with for as long as we can. When it comes to acne, we want to treat it the best way possible without having any nasty side effects. There are natural acne cures that can help you clear up your skin in no time, and actually keep it that way!
The first fundamental rule which applies to problem skin is that your skin requires an abundance of moisture in the form of water. Yes, drinking an adequate amount of water daily should without a doubt, be your very first step in curing your acne. Drinking the recommended eight glasses of water per day will ensure your skin is kept hydrated which in turn will minimize the chance of pimples forming.
It may seem obvious after dealing with acne for a long time, but proper hygiene is the next step towards clear skin. It is surprising how many acne sufferers don’t practice good hygiene, though. You should use gentle soap that doesn’t dry your skin out too much. An acne bar or wash that is meant to keep your skin in good health should do the trick.
This third step has been well documented for centuries in certain parts of the world but it seems it has only recently reached western shores. Drink a cup of warm green tea each morning when you wake up and every evening before you go to bed. Not only is it going to clear your skin up but it also boasts a whole range of other benefits such as boosting the immune system and lowering cholesterol, to name just a few.
While this next step may not be what you want to hear, it does work so if you’re serious about clearing your acne, then you’ll just have to make an effort and get involved in some form of exercise. If for some reason you can not run or jog then simply take a nice brisk walk or even join a gym. Believe it or not but even yoga has shown to be beneficial.
For many sufferers it seems impossible that one can cure acne simply by changing one’s lifestyle so if you feel you still want to use some form of treatment, then use Aloe Vera. Used regularly, this herbal gel will help to cure your spots with the added benefit in that it also prevents further spots from appearing.
Make sure that you are getting plenty of sleep at night. People who stay up at all hours of the night are more likely to get an acne outbreak compared to those who go to sleep at a decent hour. If you deprive your body of sleep, your pores will become larger which will be susceptible to more dirt, and germs.
Of course, it should be said that simply using one or two of the methods explained above will not deliver the results you’re hoping for. You need to practice all of them and as you have nothing to loose, at least just give them a try for a couple of weeks. I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
